Our Health Guarantee
At Thistle Hill, we stand firmly behind the health of every puppy we raise. That’s why every puppy goes home with a structured, written health guarantee. Not only does this reflect our commitment to responsible breeding — it gives families added peace of mind during their puppy’s first critical years.

Summary of Our Health Guarantee
Initial 3-Day Health Guarantee
We guarantee your puppy is free of life-altering illnesses at the time of sale. If a licensed vet finds anything serious within the first 3 days, the puppy may be returned for a refund or exchange.

Two-Year Genetic Guarantee
If your puppy is diagnosed with a qualifying congenital condition (such as hip dysplasia, certain cardiac issues, or eye disorders) within the first 24 months, we will either:

Offer a replacement puppy from a future litter, or

Reimburse eligible veterinary expenses (up to the original purchase price).
Conditions Not Covered
Issues caused by poor diet, over-exercise, injury, early spay/neuter (under 12 months), or general illnesses such as parasites, viruses, or unknown environmental triggers are excluded.
We do not guarantee puppies that are bred without approval, are overweight, or are placed in inappropriate environments.

Veterinary Documentation Required
We require a written diagnosis and documentation from a board-certified veterinarian (orthopedic, cardiologist, or ophthalmologist, as appropriate) in order to process any claim.

30 days of coverage for new accidents or illnesses — with no upfront payment required. Must be activated within 24 hours of pick-up (before or after).

AKC Pet Insurance
Another 30-day offer, activated after your AKC registration is completed. Coverage begins once registered and confirmed.
